Lana is the weathered owner and sole employee of a small bar located in Jadewater's CBD, who gets roped into the town's mystery by chance after letting Saki rent a room in her house.

While aware of the supernatural phenomena in the town, she has no Mark and no personal connections to the case--though finds satisfying her morbid curiosity to be an enjoyable side benefit of her new tenant's company.

Business is a little slow at Earth Angel, but the owner doesn't seem that bothered by it anymore.

Lana has a cynical outlook on life and tends to be very blunt in casual conversation, seemingly doing little to hide her true feelings or spare the emotions of others. There's a perpetual air of exhaustion surrounding her, perhaps owed to the amount of time she spends working, and perhaps owed to being Gale's friend.

Despite having little in common, the two seem to get along with one another, though Lana often finds his doting personality grating and isn't shy of letting him know. Thankfully, Gale seems to not take her frequent jabs at him seriously--he's learned the very subtle difference between Lana's joking tone of voice and serious tone of voice.

Saki ends up meeting Lana shortly after her arrival in Jadewater, after hearing from Gale that she might be able to give her a cheap place to sleep for the night. Lana is skeptical and initially wants little to do with her, but after Saki manages to prove her integrity, the two end up working out an affordable arrangement for Saki to sleep in her garage.

While both prefer to keep their distance from the other, Lana enjoys occasionally hearing about Saki's supernatural exploits and murder investigation progress, treating it almost like gossip. In exchange, she's sometimes willing to share unsolicited life advice with Saki, gained through 43 hard years of experience. Her bleakness often makes Saki uncomfortable.
