Hello! I'm HSTopaz.
While the bulk of this website is devoted to my current main project, 'Scarred By Heaven', this is a personal section of the site I created to share other interests, projects, and miscelleanous things unrelated to the game. At the moment, I'm not actually entirely sure what I'm going to put here, but I thought it would be a fun side project where I can experiment more freely with website development.

About Me
My preferred pronouns are they/them, but I don't mind being called gendered terms like 'guy' or 'sister'.
As you've probably guessed, my main hobby is creating computer games. My preferred genre(?) is probably melee-focused action games, though I also really like the art and writing aspects that game development can involve as well. I'm probably just as passionate about the storytelling side of things as I am about the gameplay, and usually find it hard to make a game if I don't have a narrative I enjoy to accompany it.
When I think about it, being a fan of both complicated action games and games with long, rich stories might make me ill-suited to solo game development, but I do still find it a fun and very satisfying hobby, even if it can be a lot of work. I think I owe my interest in it to growing up online (from an age far too young), and playing a lot of early Roblox and freeware RPG Maker games.
Outside of computer games, though, I have a handful of other interests. While most of the art I make is for game development, TTRPGs or other projects I'm working on, I do occasionally like drawing for it's own sake. I don't know a whole lot about coding outside of what I do for my games, but I do enjoy learning about it, and it's part of why I wanted to make this website. I don't do them as much as I should, but I also enjoy cooking and reading.
I find social media a little exhausting, so I'm not very active on many platforms, but if you want to chat, you can email me, or leave a comment in the guestbook, and I'll respond when I can!
